Due to the amount of special projects and events going on this week, we will not be doing a story out of our curriculum and doing a short story on informational text. In Math, we will be wrapping up Topic 10: Division Facts with a test on Wednesday.
This Wednesday is our class cookie decorating party, I will send notes home on Tuesday to remind you of what to bring, sorry for the late notice. I appreciate any who can come to help, if you could be in our classroom towards the end of lunch (around 12:00) to begin setting up, that would be great!
This week is our actual performance for the Winter Program. Students need to wear Red, Green, Blue, or White, and may wear knit hats and scarves, no gloves. We will perform on Wednesday at 10:45, and Thursday at 8:30 and 1:15.
I will not be sending home packets of homework for students to practice over the break, unless parents request them. You can email me or send a note with your child letting me know you would like them to practice over the break. I am asking students to fill out a science paper that should take about 15 minutes to do, and to read at least twice each week we are on break. Now is also a good time to start working on Science Fair Projects. Waiting until last minute will not produce the results you need for a high scoring project.
Hopefully I have covered everything I need to. Have a restful (and healthy) break, enjoy your holidays, and have a Happy New Year! I look forward to seeing my students, and starting the second half of our school year on January 12, 2015!
